Earlier only six countries, including the United Kingdom, Brazil, Ireland, Portugal, Netherlands and South Africa were on the list of restricted countries. International travel to Pakistan from countries belonging to CAA’s Category C countries is restricted and only allowed according to the guidelines stipulated by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).

The CAA has categorised 21 countries in Category A. Travellers from Category A do not require a Covid-19 PCR test prior to entry into Pakistan. Whereas, travellers from countries not specified in category A, require a test – a maximum of 72 hours prior to departure – before commencing travel to Pakistan. Any country not in Category A or Category C is in Category B, CAA affirmed.

The government and the CAA specifically are working towards containing the further spread of the coronavirus. As the world is taking measures to return to normality, Pakistan too is taking these necessary initiatives. Moreover, the public has also started receiving the vaccines to secure themselves from the virus.
