First Lady Bushra Bibi Makes a Visit to Shelter Home
The philanthropic Pakistani First Lady Bushra Bibi, who is known for her social work, paid a visit to a shelter home near Lahore's Data Darbar on Monday.
Bushra Bibi, premier Imran Khan’s philanthropic wife and also Pakistan’s first lady, is known for her efforts in the field of social work, recently paid a visit to a shelter home near Lahore’s Data Darbar on Monday, March 1.
Bushra Bibi not only inspected the facilities available and services provided to those residing in the shelter home, also sat and had a meal with the residents of the Panagah. Given her philanthropic nature, this is not the first time she has visited a shelter home for the socially, financially deprived, last year she visited an innumerable amounts of santuaries in the federal capital. 
The first lady, Bushra Bibi during her surprise visit, conversed with the impoverished living in the sanctuary and asked them about the quality of food, facilities and their living standards at the shelter home. She also tasted the food being offered to the people there to make sure that it was proper and fulfilled the needs of the residents. She was accompanied by her friend Farah Khan.
These shelter homes across the country are part of premier Imran Khan’s initiative. They have been established in five cities so far, however, more are being set up so that more impoverished people can seek refuge. Being a personal initiative of the premier who has also reiterated their importance, look to provide refuge to the destitute.
Talking to a resident of the shelter-home, Bushra Bibi said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has provided a shelter to the homeless people, adding that the government is committed to giving people their fundamental human rights.
After talking to the inmates and taking a detailed note of all operations at the shelter home, Bushra Bibi directed the management of the facility to further improve the quality of facilities at the shelter home.
