Careem’s New Feature is Offering Transport Service for Covid-19 Vaccination

Careem has recently launched a new feature that allows customers to book a ride to their nearest Covid-19 vaccination centers in Pakistan and this feature is turning out to be very useful. The new feature is known as the “Get Vaccinated” tool and includes detailed information from official government sources on the vaccines being offered in the country, along with their availability, locations, and timings. The App will directly give you a list of all the centers close by and then the person can select whichever option is more feasible for them.

According to Zeeshan Baig, CEO and Country General Manager of Careem Pakistan, “We are grateful to the local and federal government that has put in tremendous efforts to provide easy accessibility for citizens to get vaccinated. We wanted to play our role to encourage people of Pakistan who want to get vaccinated by making that process easier”.

This feature has been made available in all of the 10 cities where Careem operates, people can access the new feature easily as it shows up on the home screen of the App. It also allows users to book appointments at their nearest vaccination centers beforehand.

The response to this feature has been satisfactory as there was an increase in the number of customers booking rides to vaccination centers as soon as the process was started by the government. According to the company, more than 10,000 people have booked a Careem ride to be vaccinated. As most of the vaccination sites are newly established, they are not yet appearing on the maps. Thereby, Careem set out to pinpoint the location, phone number, and operating hours of each site and built that information into the new tool.

Careem’s new feature is a very effective and good initiative to make the process of getting vaccinated easier for the customers. This effort by Careem should be recognized and appreciated.
