Chicken Corn Soup With Slims Recipe For Your Street Food Cravings
Street-style corn soup with slims is one of the most loved and delicious street food delicacies, especially during those chilly winter nights.
It’s chilly winter night and you are on your terrace and craving that delicious chicken corn soup with slims you get on the streets of Karachi. Just thinking about that small piping hot paper bowl of soup with slims as the topping.
If you are craving it in the middle of the night when everything is closed or you just wanna chill at home, here is a recipe for this street famous soup from the street of Karachi.
Ingredients you’ll need:
- 1/4 – 1/3 cups of shredded or boiled chicken
- 1/8 cup of boiled corn
- 2 1/2 cups of chicken stock
- 3/4 tsp of chicken powder
- 2 1/4 tbsp of cornflour
- 1 boiled egg either chopped or sliced to garnish the soup
- 1 egg white which should be slightly whisked
- Slim Chips to garnish
- Salt and pepper for seasoning
- Chopped spring onion, green part only to garnish
Instructions to make the soup
- Find a small pan and add 2 cups of chicken stock to it.
- Add chicken powder and seasoning of salt and pepper.
- Stir the ingredients together.
- Keep it on medium flame and bring it to a boil
- In the remaining 1/2 chicken stock, disintegrate cornflour.
- When the chicken stock comes to a boil, start adding cornflour while mixing to avoid the formation of lumps.
- In a swirl pattern add whisked egg white.
- After 5 to 7 seconds, stir gently.
- When the soup starts getting thick, add in the corn kernels and shredded chicken.
- Adjust salt and pepper according to taste.
- Now your soup is ready to dish out.
- Add chopped boiled egg, corn, shredded chicken, and slims if you want to.
Serve with Soya Sauce, Chilli Sauce, Vinegar, and Slims on the side.
