CM Sindh Thanks the Citizens for an Effective Lockdown
CM Sindh, Murad Ali Shah, took on twitter to express his gratitude towards the citizens for an effective three-hour-long Friday lockdown.
Sindh Chief Minister, Murad Ali Shah, took on twitter to express his appreciation towards the citizens. CM Sindh thanked his citizen for an effective Friday lockdown that lasted for 3 hours.

The lockdown was held to restrict any Friday congregation to reduce the widespread of the Coronavirus. Sindh Government under the orders of CM Sindh, had a full-fledged lockdown from 12-3 Pm, making sure no one was out during the time of “Jummah prayers”. Al-Jumu’ah is derived from the verb ijta’ama which means the gathering together of people, in times of the global pandemic it is extremely necessary that everyone understands the importance of staying home and staying safe. The congregational prayer could lead to more citizens being infected by the Coronavirus, as the prayer is obligated to be held in a group.
CM Sindh, Murad Ali Shah, even thanked the Ulemas for their understanding of how critical these times are. He said, “Some extraordinary decisions had to be taken during these extraordinary times – Government truly appreciates your support.”
The number of Coronavirus positive patients in Sindh is 836 and two more deaths due to the novel coronavirus were reported in Karachi. Both the patients were tested positive on April 1st and had got infected through the local transmission in Sindh. Health and Population Welfare Minister Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho, Sindh, confirmed the 54-year-old patient died in Hyderabad. He had tested positive for COVID-19 on April 1 and was infected through the local transmission.
