Foodpanda and Its Questionable Service
As Pakistan's largest online delivery application, Foodpanda, begins to compromise the quality of its services, they face nationwide resentment.
Foodpanda is one of the most famous online food delivery applications in Pakistan, it allows the users to download their app for free and order from several eateries available within the app. All you have to pay is the cost of your food and sometimes an additional delivery cost.
It was a dream come true for most of us; to be able to avoid phone calls or physical visits and being delivered whatever you’re craving just by a few taps! The launch of Foodpanda had us all in high hopes, but not for long.
As Foodpanda progressed, becoming Pakistan’s most substantial online delivery application, its service began to deteriorate. With an increasing number of complaints and dissatisfied customers, it left our hopes crushed.
Foodpanda recently changed its operations by providing delivery through its riders for every restaurant or eatery instead of personal delivery only for those who need it. Due to this change, deliveries became a headache. Time and time again, we’d face delays in delivery or an act of unprofessional behavior from the rider’s end.
Moreover, their helpline or chat isn’t really of use either. It is highly responsive; we’ll give it that. However, the solution bit is what it lacks, most complaints are quick to be entertained but yet to be solved.
With the market for online delivery applications expanding, most eateries have begun to disassociate themselves with Foodpanda due to their lacking.
Most customers tend to confuse Foodpanda’s inadequate service as the eatery’s service. However, if delivery is through Foodpanda, the restaurant has little to no control over it.
Due to this, most restaurants have renounced their partnerships with Foodpanda as they cannot take any more hits on their eatery’s ratings and reviews. One such prominent example is Clucky’s, who posted a video on their social media claiming that they have begun their delivery service and are ending their contract with Foodpanda.
