Hamid Mir’s Interview with Asif Ali Zardari Was Stopped.

Hamid Mir was interviewing Asif Ali Zardari on his show which aired on Geo News. His show was stopped mid-way while he was interviewing. Hamid Mir went on twitter to express his feelings and said that ‘we are not living in a free country’. He made some tweets regarding the show as people kept on asking him what went wrong and why the show was stopped.

Hamid Mir said:

I am getting calls from all over the world people asking what happened? State of Pakistan giving bad name to this country we don’t need enemies

Pakistan People’s Party Chairman, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, also commented on the issue in a tweet saying that the government only wants to hear ‘selected’ voices. He also mentioned that this is no longer a free state where we can voice our opinions.

Hamid Mir has also mentioned that his show on Dawn News was also stopped. He was waiting in front of the camera at 11’oclock in the studio where he was informed that the show will not be aired. There were various other people who condemned the press media infringement and censorship in the country.
