Rana Sanaullah Was Arrested for Carrying Drugs by Anti-Narcotics Force

PML-N's Punjab President Rana Sanaullah has been arrested by the ANF for carrying drugs in his vehicle while traveling.

Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz Punjab President, Rana Sanaullah, was arrested on Monday by the Anti-Narcotics Force due to carrying drugs in his vehicle. He was allegedly possessing large quantity of narcotics in his vehicle. He was arrested at the Islamabad-Lahore motorway while travelling to Faisalabad from Lahore.

ANF’s statement said:

We do not make arrests without reason. A large quantity of drugs was recovered from Sanaullah’s car

The quantity and type of drugs which he was carrying is still unknown and being assessed. The sources added that he would be charged under the Anti-Narcotics Act. He has been shifted to ANF police station, while force commander Brig Khalid Mehmood is monitoring the investigation process.

Maryam Nawaz and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari have been active on social media ever since and have condemned this act calling it absurd. They are blaming Prime Minister Imran Khan for the arrest and PPP Chairman Bilawal called it ‘political victimization’

Shehbaz Sharif said that the arrest of Rana Sanaullah without any case, describing it the ‘worst example of lawlessness and political vendetta’. He accused Prime Minister Imran Khan that he has been using national institutions to pressure political opponents. Prime Minister Imran Khan says he will send Rana Sanaullah to jail.
