Imran Khan Files Pre-Arrest Bail To The IHC
Imran Khan's recent news of filing a pre arrest bail has concerned Pakistani's nationwide.
On Monday, Imran Khan, Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI), filed a plea for pre-arrest bail in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) in response to allegations that the former Prime Minister of Pakistan was charged with terrorism for threatening an auxiliary session court judge.
The PTI Chairman’s attorneys, Babar Awan and Faisal Chaudhry requested pre-bail while stating that Imran Khan had no prior criminal record. Furthermore, it was revealed that our former Prime Minister is not afraid of a probe because he has nothing to hide and no criminal record.
Prior to the pre-arrest bail, it was ruled that Imran Khan’s remarks at his rally in Islamabad violated Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act (the penalty for terrorist offences). A first information report (FIR) was made around the time of the demonstration in F9 Park Islamabad. and another, a resident of G11/12 accused Imran Khan of uttering anti-army, anti-police, and anti-judiciary remarks.
According to the FIR filed by the Margalla police, the PTI chairman threatened the auxiliary meetings with the judge of Islamabad in order to demoralise high-level police and judiciary officials, resulting in failure to perform their duties and refrain from taking action against the former ruling party out of fear of Imran.
