Iran’s Militia Commander Qassem Soleimani Martyred
Qassim Soleimani had been serving as the Major General of IRGC since September 2011. He was martyred today morning in a US airstrike in Iraq.
Military is a backbone to its country. And the Generals are the backbones to that particular military. General Major Qassem Soleimani was a backbone to Iran. He was General Major of Iran Revolutionary Guard Corps’ (IRGC) and has been defending Iran from long. Qassem has not only played his role in defending Iran but also other countries with Islamic history and relevance. Amid tensions in Iraq, Iranian Major was present in Iraq to take a hold of the situations, on the will of Iraqi Government.
However, a US airstrike struck at the airport, which left Qassem Soleimani and Iraqi Militia Commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis as martyrs. The killing was confirmed by the United States. According to US, the attack was carried out on the orders of Donald Trump. Nevertheless, Iran’s Foreign Minister told that “act of international terrorism”. The decision taken by Trump was discussed with no one prior to implementation. He uploaded the US Flag, after the attack, on his twitter.

Relations between Iran and US were never at ease. And killing of Soleimani has triggered Iran for sure. The death of Qassem Soleimani has left the whole of Middle East in shock as well as in anger. This might result in consequences unknown to all of us yet. Although, we can be sure over the fact that revenge will be taken by Iran. And that revenge would not be sweet at all. Before his death, Qassem had already warned US by saying if US starts the war, Iran is going to end it. The country is yet in a state of shock. It is yet to see what happens when it comes out of it.
