JOKER – The Big Mad Hype is Fully Justified!

More often than not, films that are much awaited tend to fall short. Joker would easily be the first such case that not only met but phenomenally exceeded the expectations of the audience with its haunting performance and immaculate character development ever witnessed. Joker sure goes down the history of impactful Hollywood classics.  So if Joaquin’s performance and scenography in all its brilliance do not win an Oscar for this movie, the award had better be boycotted then!

However comically repulsive, distorted and cringe worthy, the protagonist is still mesmerizing; you would not want to blink an eye as you watch him unravel and take you on some serious emotional rollercoaster. Joker is leagues above a typical action loaded predictable super-hero movie. It is an extra ordinary psychological thriller/drama. I mean how does this masterpiece even exist?

While Phoenix is amazing as you’ve gathered from rave reviews all over the web, Todd Phillips is at his best too here to say the least. Impeccable amalgamation of the storyline and visuals are just mind- bogglingly incredible. The homework alone gone into the look of the main character, what with Phoenix losing 22 kgs for the role is beyond commendable. Come Oscars, and Joker had better be nominated for Best Picture, Screenplay, Cinematography, Actor, Score and Director!
