The group was founded by Muntazir Haider back in the year 2014 – Muntazir is an entrepreneur, a seasoned business consultant and a coach – and a known visiting faculty in a number of Business Schools. Muntazir is CEO & Co-founder of The Brand Consultants, and a Senior Partner at Michael & Parker Business Solutions – a global icon in the category of Management Consultancy. Co-founder and CEO of the group is Yeriha Zehra – who bags years of corporate experience and is a seasoned marketer herself having worked at top-class brands like UBL and PSO – and is heading the marketing function at The Brand Consultants.

It is true that in today’s day and age, there are several food review groups on Facebook; but Karachi Food Review stands out amongst the rest by breaking through the content clutter. Other online food review forums lack real, candid opinions regarding restaurants in Karachi. More often than not, eateries, along with multitudes of home chefs in Karachi go unnoticed, when they could garner praise and appreciation from the masses, which is made possible through KFR’s channel which aids in promoting their work. Due to their ambience, high-end restaurants with ordinary to mediocre food quality receive all the attention.

KFR bags a prestigious culinary award

The mission of Karachi Food Review is to provide a forum that encourages frank evaluations of neighbourhood restaurants and cafes across Karachi, as well as support the expansion of emerging eateries. Another stand-out factor is that they don’t entertain paid reviews from bloggers or influencers, which has become a norm otherwise. If the group is approached with brand campaigns, the team makes sure that the campaign is worth it and a decision is made after rigorous research. It’s important to keep in mind that KFR gives preference to reviews which are free of bias, to stay true to their audience.

Since its inception, Karachi Food Reviews has brought together over 30,000+ members with around 8 to 10 reviews posted on a daily basis. KFR is a private group, and hence, all the group posts are monitored regularly, to verify that the rules of the group are being followed. Not only this, but KFR makes sure to promote home-based and small-scale food ventures along with highly known ones. The group is planning on pursuing several projects with notable brands in the near future, which the team is tirelessly working towards!

KFR has a vision that intends to see the group flourishing in times to come and invites the residents of Karachi to post honest reviews of every restaurant in the city of lights. Everyone should be aware that passion for food never dies; from tiny street vendors to large, opulent restaurants- it transcends all!
