Lionel Messi agrees on two year contract with PSG
The news finally broke, Lionel Messi has officialy signed with PSG. Barca fans have mixed emotions and cant believe it. What will be next for Messi ?
The Argentinean superstar Lionel Messi has agreed on a two-year deal with French club Paris-Saint Germain. The contract is worth 25 million per season. The contract includes an option for a one-year extension, so the superstar’s salary, including bonuses, will be around 35 million.
Lionel Messi was spotted at Barcelona airport flying to Paris with his family. Everyone knew immediately that Lionel Messi would sign the contract with PSG. Messi, his lawyers and his father Jorge Messi have been negotiating back and forth with PSG since Thursday. Jorge Messi had told a Spanish television station that his son would sign a contract with PSG. That was all but certain.
The move to PSG Lionel Messi will reunite with his former teammate Neymar JR. Neymar himself also tried to convince Messi to join him in Paris, and thus got what he wanted. It will be interesting to see how the chemistry between the two superstars will be. Apart from Neymar, there will also be a player that Messi is very close to: Di Maria. Mbappe will also get the chance to play with Lionel Messi, he will be able to learn a lot from one of the greatest players of all time.
Barca fans are very upset with how everything is turning out. No one likes the idea of a ‘super team’ and neither do Messi’s fans. PSG will be unstoppable and will win a Champions League title for sure. Even though Lionel Messi his best years are behind him, he is still the toughest competitor in the league at 34. In recent years, Paris have failed to win the Champions League or finish first in the leauge one, but that will change as they have some of the best strikers in the world.
When this news broke, the hearts of Barca fans sank, this was terrible news. At the end of the day, we should wish Lionel Messi good luck and hope he does great things where he is now. His time at Camp Now was second to none and will be some of the greatest moments of his entire career. Nothing beats Lionel Messi from Barca, he has done everything possible for the club and made it what it is today, and that is what we salute him for. Thank you Messi, for an incredible 21 years.
