LUX Style Awards 2021: Hit or Miss Looks
LUX Style Awards is a star-studded night with everyone on their top fashion game. In LSA 2021 some celebrities had hit outfits while some missed the mark.
From Saree to Huge Barbie Gown to Beddazled Cape to Cleopatra Inspired Gown and Suits we got to see it all at the LUX Style Awards 2021 this Saturday and let’s be honest half of us were looking forward to the red carpet. This night is filled with celebrities rocking (and not rocking) the best and not-so-good outfits.
So here we are talking about outfits we liked and celebrities who could do better.
Aima Baig
Aima Baig showed up in a fitted black dress with bejeweled high neck detailing which went on till her waist. The designer of this minimalist black dress is still unknown however Aima was certainly rocking it. She paired it with a nude brown lip and a smoky eye look. Her jewelry was minimalistic and this outfit was definitely a hit.
Mushk Kaleem
Mushk Kaleem came to 20th LUX Style Awards rocking a hot pink Sana Safinaz gown. It’s safe to say that she looked like a Barbie Doll. The sleek bun updo, minimalistic makeup, and the huge hot pink dress were all the right choices. Showing up in this Barbie doll pink dress was truly a fashion statement made by Mushk. It’s a hit!
Ali Xeeshan
Ali Xeeshan showed up in a bedazzled cape with an extra-looking pair of sunglasses and we don’t think this was the way to go for him. However, this was quite an upgrade from his bathrobe outfit from Hum Style Award 2021. For Ali Xeeshan this outfit was a minimalistic one but he did manage to stand out amongst the men in the LUX Style Awards wearing Tuxedo and Suits. But we think Ali Xeeshan can do much better. It was a miss.
Mahira Khan
Mahira Khan showed up in an ivory silk gown with pants peeking from her gown slit and modernistic back necklace detailing giving the dress an oomph. Her sleek bun was minimalistic and perfect to show off her open-back detail. The natural makeup look was the right choice to showoff Mahira’s natural beauty. This was a hit however she received quite a lot of backlash from the audience.
Yumna Zaidi
Yumna showed up in a plain black silk gown by Asim Jofa to rock on this star-studded night. She wore a statement choker and earrings. For makeup, she went for a glowy natural makeup look with a brownish-red bold lip. Her look was modest but stood out anyway perfect for someone who won two awards. For us, it was a hit however she and Mahira did face a lot of criticism on her gown.
Hareem Farooq
Hareem Farooq was by far had our favorite look on the red carpet. She showed up at LSA in a plain deep maroon flowy gown with a statement golden metallic belt around her waist accentuating her waist. Her makeup was quite natural with just a deep maroon lipstick. This was a major hit.
Ahad Raza Mir, Hassan Sheheryar Yasin and Bilal Abbas Khan
Bilal Abbas Khan, Ahad Raza Mir, and HSY all showed up at LSA in dashing suits which were quite well received by the audience. Bilal Abbas Khan rocked a grey suit while HSY and Ahad Raza Mir showed up in elegant-looking black outfits. To say the least, these boys were definitely a hit.
Saboor Ali
Saboor Ali showed up in a powder blue one puffy sleeve silk dress with a high bun updo and just a few pieces of jewelry to let the dress be the center of attention. Her makeup look was natural glowy with a bold statement red lip. This dress received mixed reviews on Instagram but her video of getting ready for the night has been going viral. However, we think Saboor can do much better.
Mehwish Hayat
Mehwish Hayat was the star of the night with her being the host of LSA she really had to be on her top outfit game however it was not impressive. Hayat wore a Cleopatra-inspired ivory high neck dress with gold detailing for the red carpet event. The gold detailing started from the neck and went all the way down to the end of the dress. She had a glam makeup look fitting her extravagant dress. The second outfit, she wore for her performance was a glittery deep red one-shoulder paired with red lipstick.
Mira Sethi
Mira Sethi’s outfit she wore to LUX Style Awards was not liked by a lot of people and even us. She wore a loose dress with pockets and she paired it with glamourous elbow-length gloves. Her dress had string neckline detail. Mira had a no-makeup makeup look on with a quite messy hairstyle. For us, it was a major miss and we think she could have selected a much better outfit which could have stole the whole show.
Ayesha Omar
The stunning Ayesha Omar had two outfits prepared for the LUX Style Awards and we have mixed reviews. The outfit she wore for the red carpet event was stunning and definitely stole the spotlight at the event. It was a fully bedazzled ivory dress with sequins and embroidered detailing, a cold shoulder, and had cape sleeves. She kept her hair simple sleek straight and with a glam makeup look. But her performance outfit was the one we didn’t like. It was a form-fitted black dress with a train and cross-neck detailing. She paired it with black glittery tights and long boots.
