Margot Robbie to Star in Female-Centric Pirates of the Caribbean
Margot Robbie will star in female-centric Pirates of Caribbean version, and will have a separate story line from the Johnny Depp series.
Margot Robbie will star in female-centric Pirates of Caribbean version, which is in its early stages of development.
Instead of being a spin-off of Pirates of the Caribbean, Margot Robbie will be starring in a separate original story with new characters and story line. The story will reportedly be written by Birds of Prey screenwriter Christina Hodson and produced by longtime Pirates of the Caribbean filmmaker Jerry Bruckheimer.
The Australian actress is known for her diverse roles, and is on her way to expand her career just like Johnny Depp has over the years. With roles such as Harley Quinn, Queen Elizabeth I, Jane Clayton, Tonya Harding, etc. Margot Robbie has an eye for diverse characters for sure!
Birds of Prey is not the only place where Christina Hodson has collaborated with Margot Robbie – in 2019 launched the Lucky Exports Pitch Program, a new initiative aimed at getting more female-identifying writers hired by studios to write action-centric movies.
