A paedophile man, raped- before murdering his eight-year-old brother in Lahore. The child’s body was recovered from a drain in the city’s Nishtar Colony.
The 8-year-old victim was a disabled child. Police officials on Friday found clues that the assailant was a serial paedophile killer. A cousin of the victim, a five-year-old boy, had also gone missing five months before this recent incident.
DIG Investigations Lahore Shariq Jamal said that police are intensely investigating previous cases that frame him as the assailant as well also, however, substantial evidence to declare that he has been involved in other such crimes earlier is a premature conviction. The arrested suspect has been identified as Faizan, 16.
The assailant had lured his younger brother away from home on the pretext of getting him sweets from a nearby shop. The paedophile took the eight-year-old boy to a deserted location and hit with bricks and a glass bottle to death after sexually assaulting him.
The paedophile then dumped his brother’s dead body into a drain.
Police had taken the suspect into custody by taking notice of his suspicious behaviour on the occasion. DIG Investigations Shariq Jamal said that police had substantial evidence to declare that Faizan was the murderer of his differently-abled minor brother. The suspect also escorted police to the crime site for evidence.
In recent years, terrorising incidents are repeatedly being reported every other day. The previous week, a seven-year-old minor girl had been sexually assaulted after being strangled to death by two suspects that included her cousin in Sundar area.
The assailants had also dumped her body into a pond to hide their heinous crime.
Two weeks back, a suspected serial rapist who sexually assaulted six minor girls in Sarai Mughal area, Pattoki was arrested by police officials. A case had been registered against the suspect.
