Pakistani Students Win Big at Dream Awards, Beijing
Pakistani students won prizes in the speech, photography, music, singing and sand painting competitions during the annual awards held in Beijing.
Pakistani pupils exhibited their talents at the annual 3rd Silk Road and Young Dreams Award ceremony held in Beijing, China. They won prizes in the music, photography, singing, speech and sand painting competitions.
The award ceremony was hosted by Silk Road Cities Alliance, China Friendship Foundation for Peace and Development, Beijing Belt and Road Cooperative Community and Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies of Renmin University. The Silk Road and Young Dreams Awards.
The Head of Mission at the Pakistani Embassy in Beijing, Ahmed Farooq attended the ceremony and awarded the prizes to the winners. Moreover, Muhammad Ali Asad from the Pakistan Embassy College Beijing (PECB) was chosen to be the judge of the speech competition at the Silk Road and Young Dreams Awards.
Through their speeches, artwork, singing and music, the Pakistani contestants won the hearts of the audience and the jury as they bagged the Young Dream Awards. The students from Pakistan Embassy College Beijing (PECB) won quite a few prizes in a variety of categories.
In the speech competition, Danish Yaqoob from Pakistan bagged the first prize while Abdul Rehman, a student from PECB secured the third position. PECB student, Maaz Ali Nadeem won the populous photography competition. Areeba Ali and Thembekile, students from PECB as well, took home the excellence of music and speech contest awards.
At the ceremony, PECB students read the Health Declaration on the platform of Silk Road and Young Dreams.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s ceremony took place online with the theme of Health. Participants from all of the over-thirty countries performed and participated enthusiastically regardless.
