Pathaan Makes History In The Indian Cinema On Its Debut

Pathaan, starring Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, reportedly grossed INR 530 million on its first day at the Indian box office, according to reports.

Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s Pathaan created history on its debut day in cinemas, earning INR 530 million, despite protests and fears of violence. After a four-year absence, SRK returned to the big screen, and his fans appear to be embracing him warmly.

According to Bollywood Hungama, Pathaan broke several records on its first day, bringing in between INR 530 million and 550 million on Wednesday. It has grown to be both the greatest non-holiday film of all time and the biggest Hindi film debut.

The article further claimed that Pathaan had sold out theaters all over India.

According to Bollywood Hungama, the three major cinema chains in the nation—PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis—contributed a combined INR 265 million, or 50% of the overall business. Pathaan is reportedly performing well on individual screens as well, and thanks to today’s Republic Day holiday, commerce is predicted to increase even more. Pathaan will be the only movie in Hindi film history to earn INR 1 billion in its first two days of release if it brings in an amount that is equal to or greater than its first day’s earnings.

According to Bollywood Hungama, both critic reviews and viewer word-of-mouth recommendations are “very positive.” Pathaan will be the first SRK movie to gross INR 3 billion if it does.

The Tamil and Telugu dub versions of Pathaan produced an extra INR 30 million and INR 30 million, respectively, bringing the total to INR 550 million or thereabouts. Pathaan’s Hindi version made INR 500 million to INR 520 million. The numbers are predicted to double today by the media.

Salman Khan makes a brief appearance in Pathaan, along with John Abraham, Dimple Kapadia, Ashutosh Rana, and Siddhant Ghegadmal. In the Indian spy drama Pathaan, SRK portrays a spy who assumes the role of captain of a squad of mercenaries sent on a quest to attack his native country.
