PTI’s 100-day plan, followed by further promises

As PTI hit a century with their days in government, Imran Khan used the occasion to address the nation, brief us on the progress made so far and make key announcements.

Upon its election, PTI followed through with the typical act of promising the public a whole bunch of facilities and actions that would ensure the improvement of Pakistan as a whole.  Some held high hopes of sweeping reforms while others scoffed at the claims as they had heard this stuff before by the previous governments.

Surprisingly, Imran Khan has been adamant to fulfill a maximum of these promises and has taken drastic measures to ensure they are successful.

As PTI hit a century with their days in government, Imran Khan used the occasion to address the nation, brief us on the progress made so far and make key announcements.

The address took place at the Convention Center in Islamabad. Senator Faisal Javed initiated the ceremony with a brief intro before reciting the Holy Quran.

PM Imran Khan took to the stage with “Main Toh Dekhoonga” playing in the background. He started off by emphasizing that the government’s main focus were the people and they had done their best to formulate policies that would facilitate the public and improve relations with our neighbors, especially India.

While campaigning during the summer, Imran Khan had announced an impressive 100-day plan and had promised that the government would meet its targets at all costs. He drifted from his strategies a little, saying, “Success and failure depend on Allah.”

The government has been able to achieve only 18 of the 34 targets that had been set which, to be very honest, is rather impressive; that’s how low previous governments have made our expectations.

The real progress achieved by the country is the Memorandum of Understanding, signed with 26 different countries.

Furthermore, $11 billion of undeclared Pakistani-owned money was traced in foreign countries.

The rest of the speech was followed by numerous more promises to further improve the living conditions of the public and provide better facilities. He presented a plan for poverty alleviation in the country and mentioned that a body will be formed to deal with major issues like malnutrition, housing and even stunted growth in children.
