Sacred Games Blunder

An Indian man living in UAE gets bombarded with calls from strangers because Sacred Games flashes his number mistakenly on screen.

Sacred Games is an Indian show on Netflix which has become quite famous. It was released last year only and gained a lot of fan following. Season 1 was praised by many, it ended on a cliffhanger hence many people were waiting for the next season. The new season launched this month and received mixed reviews. Some said they loved it some weren’t quite happy with it.

The second season of Sacred Games did a blunder by mistakenly showing a number on screen that belongs to a UAE expat named Kunhabdulla. This man had never heard of Sacred Games until he started receiving calls from other people asking if he was Sulaiman Isa. Isa is a character in Sacred Games basically so the poor lad wasn’t even aware of what was going on.

He said:

“I only attend calls from numbers I recognise, people said things like ‘killer game’. I feared it was part of a bigger conspiracy and I was in trouble. Usually, I never get so many calls.”

Kunhabdulla was forced to switch off his number due to the excessive amount of calls that he received. He told that he worked from morning till evening which left him not time to be indulged in such activities. He’s living in UAE for the last 18 years. These calls have been interrupting his daily life too. He purchased a special number which he owns till now.

Netflix has since removed this number from the subtitles and issued an apology as well. They have been very cooperative regarding the issue and have handled it pretty well. Sacred Games is the highest grossed Indian show on Netflix up till now. A small mistake has caused an inconvenience to a common man.

Let’s hope we don’t get to see such mistakes in the future. Like and follow our Facebook page to stay updated:
