Samar Khan is a Pakistani cyclist who became the first women in the world to cycle a top 4,500 metre highBiafo Glacier in theKarakoram Mountains of Gilgit-Baltistan. Hailing from Khas Dir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, she discovered her love for adventure sports while taking a paragliding course. She received training from Army School of Physical Training,Kakul to become a certified paraglider.
The 27-year-old is not only a cyclist, but a blogger and motivational speaker as well. In December 2017, Samar added another feather to her cap when she became the first Pakistani woman to summit Africa’s highest peak Mount Kilimanjaro.
