Shoaib Malik to Ramiz Raja: “Let’s Retire Together”

In his tweet from Wednesday (April 8), Malik suggested that since all three of them are at the end of their careers, they should plan to retire together by 2022.

Earlier this week, veteran commentator Ramiz Raja stated that Shoaib Malik and Mohammed Hafeez should retire to let in new players and improve Pakistani Cricket.

“They should leave international cricket with respect and grace. I come across both during my assignments that is why I avoid making personal comments. There is no doubt both have served Pakistan cricket well all these years. But now I think it is time they gracefully retired from the Pakistan team,” the commentator had said on a video conference.

Both players had been recalled by Chief Selector and Head Coach Misbah-ul-Haq in February after their previous below-average performance in the ICC World Cup in England.
