Sindh Govt. Sanctions Free Liver Transplant for Folk Singer Shaukat Ali
As folk singer, Shaukat Ali, experiences complications in raising funds for his liver transplant, Sindh Government steps in!
Renowned folk singer Shaukat Ali who is famous for his songs during the 1965 and 1971 wars, such as Saathion Mujahidon Jaag Utha Hai Sara Watan, Mera Puttar Pakistan Da, and Apna Quaid Aik Hai amongst many others, has been unwell for the past several years.
The folk singer, Shaukat Ali, has been in the spotlight for the past five decades in the Pakistani music industry, he even received a Pride of Performance award.
Upon finding out that the folk singer, Shaukat Ali, was unwell and admitted to the hospital. He needed an immediate liver transplant but was unable to gather the sufficient funds for it, Sindh government decided to step in and sponsor his liver transplant treatment.
Murtaza Wahab, a representative, can be seen replying to the people on Twitter saying that the Sindh Government believes that it is their responsibility to serve the people of the nation no matter where they are in the country.
“Thank you for the tweet. It is our duty to serve people and the health initiatives of the Sindh government continue to serve all Pakistanis,” Murtaza Wahab wrote on Twitter.

Folk singer, Shaukat Ali, was admitted to Gambat Institute of Medical Services in Khairpur on Monday, 12th October, for the further treatment of his liver infection. The treatment is being fully funded and arranged according to the directions of the Sindh Chief Minister, Murad Ali Shah.
The government deserves credit where it is due, acts like these which raise the bar of respect we hold for the Sindh government. It sends out a positive message to the people to help one another in times of need, it encourages the nation and its people to act as a united front. All our prayers go out to folk singer Shaukat Ali, hopefully, he will be back soon!
