Sindhi to be observed as an obligatory subject in all private colleges

Sindhi to be made compulsory in all private schools across province.

Syed Sardar Ali Shah, Sindh’s minister for training and literacy, and secretary faculty schooling Qazi Shahid Pervaiz on Monday requested the enlisting of educators in every single private school in the province with the goal that Sindhi dialect can be generally educated.

The director general, Directorate of investigation of private schools Dr. Mansoob Hussain Siddiqui, has likewise sent letters to private schools that are not following the orders to quickly make Sindhi an obligatory subject.

“Sindhi is being taught in all schools following the Matric system. Schools following the CIE Cambridge school system are not teaching it,” said Dr. Mansoob Hussain Siddiqui.

Moreover, as per the Form B of the Sindh Private Educational Institutions (Regulations and Control) Rules 2005, “All educational institutions are required to teach children the Sindhi language.”

Private colleges have been directed to hire skilled Sindhi instructors for this purpose. The issuance of the enrollment authentication for private schools is liable to the educating of Sindhi as mandatory subject and O level schools have likewise been cautioned appropriately.

A group of Directorate Sindh will visit private schools to guarantee the Sindhi language is being educated in schools as a mandatory subject.

The decision became effective after the Sindh Assembly had passed a resolution, making Sindhi compulsory in schools from class three to class nine.
