Students in Pakistan are Demanding to Stop Online Education
Online education in Pakistan is one of the matters that's being discussed these days because it's frustrating and stressful for students to take online classes. Hence, they are demanding to re-open universities.
Students in Pakistan have been sharing their concerns via Twitter. It’s considered one of the most effective mediums to raise awareness about issues that have not yet been highlighted or require more attention. Online education in Pakistan is one of the matters that’s being discussed these days because it’s frustrating and stressful for students to receive an education online.
The hashtag being used is #StopOnlineEdu, which is trending and used to bring attention to this issue. However, the decision of online education and classes was mainly taken to prevent the spread of coronavirus, which did bring fruitful results as the curve had flattened to some extent. Even before the lockdown in March, classes were suspended and held online.
The fact, that receiving education online versus in a physical classroom is different, is definitely undeniable. One cannot compare that experience and individual attention that a student gets while being in a classroom. Also, another reason why the students are against it is because of internet connectivity issues. Online education in Pakistan and all over the world requires both the students and the teachers to have a smooth internet connection in order to be able to understand the lecture.
Here’s what the Twitterati have to say about the situation:
The most effective learning takes place in the classroom, where you can easily raise your hand, engage in spontaneous discussions with classmates and faculty, turn to the person next to you to ask for.@SchoolEduPunjab @Shafqat_Mahmood @DrMuradPTI #StopOnlineEdu

Everyone has the same opinion about online classes but just have a different way of saying it. Not only are studies being compromised, but these students have also been getting grades that they don’t deserve. All this chaos due to classes being held online, where the students aren’t able to understand properly and have been facing consequences in the form of poor grades.
Protest via Twitter has been taking place for a long time and the hashtag being used is also trending. Students are demanding to re-open universities so they can resume their studies. Marriage hall, restaurants, and other recreational places have opened up for the general public, which is why students are demanding to open universities as well.
