Destination weddings have become extremely popular over the last years and are surely the future for the wedding industry in Pakistan. The Social Squad co-founder Fahad Nassr and Ayesha Haroon with their team is trying to promote accessibility of planning and designing a wedding abroad for us to have the destination wedding we’ve always dreamed of. They are making wedding events more special and personalized to the Bride and groom’s story, integrating visual storytelling as a recurrent design theme and curating sustainable design practice.
The vision of The Social Squad for 2020 is to make at least 25 event locations accessible and pre planned for events abroad, they’re starting off with their first wedding event in New York, Long Island and Manhattan on 9th July collaborating with the Founder and CEO of SJS events, Sona J. Shah. SJS – is an Indian wedding planning company striving to make every wedding unique and unforgettable. She has been admired by many known magazines such as vogue, New York Times etc.
Wedding is the most important day for the bride and groom and for higher client satisfaction, The Social Squad ensure that each client is given individual attention and as their client, the bride Amy Sattar and groom Safi Mohammed are the resident of New York, born and brought up there, They has only seen Pakistan in movies, dramas, digital world or stories by their parents and they don’t get to witness Pakistani essence in the weddings there fully. So The Social Squad is trying their best to take the Pakistani traditional and cultural elements to their events and customizing their event design accordingly.
As the event is going to be attended by the notable glitterati of the New York City such as Sonal Shah, a Vogue acclaimed NYC based Wedding Planner, The Lollywood A-list star Fawad Khan with his wife Sadaf Fawad and many other US based prominent residents like members of APPNA etc The Social Squad has shortlisted the best venues such as Crest Hollow Country Club, Lotte Palace New York and Garden City Hotel New York with best DJ’s of the town Rohit Sharma, DJ Sharad and DJ USA events to please their guests and make it memorable for everyone.
The Social Squad is redefining what a wedding should look like and is pulling off this event with the best team including Clane Gessel, a passionate photographer whose work has been featured in nearly every bridal magazine and was named top 5 wedding photographers in The Nation and The Paanwaala NYC, presenting authentic paans as a staple back from Home. As the food we serve at the wedding can make or break the experience of our guests, The Social Squad make sure to have the best caterer Bukhara Grill, A Michelin Star acclaimed restaurant in New York City on board for the event.
