I think comedy movies are a great way to lighten anyone’s mood. We all tackle various hardships throughout the day and get exhausted at the end. I feel like a good movie can change anyone’s mood, and it’s the era where internet rules. You can either download it or watch it on Netflix if you’ve got access. So if you’re feeling low or just want to relax then we’ve got your back with some of the best comedy movies you should watch!
Dumb & Dumber
It’s a movie about two hopeless weirdos that are trying to return a lost suitcase. They’re incredibly stupid but very good at heart and simple guys. Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels are the main characters in the movie who have done justice to the roles. Jim Carrey is legendary and if you haven’t seen it, then you should! It’s a movie that’ll not let you get bored.
Mrs. Doubtfire
This is one of the movies that you can watch with your family. A very family-friendly movie full of comedy and jokes. I can watch this one repeatedly without getting bored. Robin Williams was an outclass actor and I’m sure everyone enjoyed watching his movies. Mrs. Doubtfire is a movie where a divorced actor dresses up as a female Scottish nanny to meet his children.
Spy
Spy, starring Melissa McCarthy, was released a few years ago but it’s a good one. She has a desk job at CIA and is really good at what she does. From giving intel to actually being on the field and working, this movie takes you through a rollercoaster of laughter. She’s alongside Jason Statham in this movie and it just cannot get better than this.
The Big Sick
I loved watching this one because it’s based on a true story. Kumail, a Pakistani-American guy, meets Emily who is an American. He’s a stand-up comedian and meets her at one of his shows. It’s a rom-com that isn’t like the cliched romcoms that we usually see. He’s hesitant to tell his Muslim father about her because of fear and she later falls ill due to a mysterious infection. She’s put into a medically induced coma and well, whatever happens next should remain a mystery to you guys so I won’t spoil it.
The Hangover
The hangover trilogy is epic and perfect to turn your day around. They take their friend Doug to Las Vegas for a bachelor party. Everyone knows what happens in Las Vegas stays in Las Vegas. After the partying, they wake up the next morning with hazy memories and Doug is nowhere to be found. Now they reevaluate their whole day and set off to find their lost friend before his wedding day.
