XDynamix Presents Pakistan’s First Transgender Hero Bijli

XDynamix Media recently developed an animated short which shows Pakistan’s first transgender hero, Bijli, teaching others about how to tackle COVID-19.

In the video, Bijli helps an elderly disabled man and talks about how we need to pay attention to both our physical and mental health. The message is especially targeted towards the vulnerable members of our society, which include women, children, the elderly, and transgenders.

Bijli is also shown leading her team (Ali, a happy go lucky Rubab player, and Afika) to go and help out different members of society during the times of COVID-19 pandemic.

XDynamix Media described the video as the following:

“As the danger of Covid-19 recedes, we must understand that it is still not over. For the first time in Pakistan, a group of five heroes comes together (while keeping a safe distance) under the leadership of Pakistan’s first animated transgender character, Bijli. Their message is crisp and clear: precaution is the only cure. Our Heroes will not leave a single stone unturned to spread the message in their own special ways.”

 

Are you excited about having Pakistan’s first transgender hero Bijli? I am personally happy that we are including more minorities and demographics in our media and hope that it helps reduce the rejection of people who are in the minority.
