Heard's attorney claimed that she will be filing for an appeal.

In the latest development surrounding the Depp-Heard trial, Amber Heard will filing for an appeal.

The news was made by Amber Heard’s attorney Elaine Charlson Bredehoft. During an interview on NBC’s Today Show, Bredehoft claimed that Depp’s team had suppressed large amounts of evidence.

Bredehoft also went on to say that Depp’s attorneys had set out to “demonize” Heard. “A number of things were allowed in this court that should not have been allowed, and it caused the jury to be confused.”

Amber Heard’s appeal to challenge the court’s ruling came after the jury had sided with Depp. Heard now owes Depp 15 million dollars in compensatory and punitive damages.

The Depp-Heard trial initiated after Heard published an article defaming Depp and accusing him of “domestic violence”. This had led Depp filing a defamation suit against Heard.

Thus, what proceeded for six weeks was a live televised court case. The testaments of both Depp and his former spouse were heard as well as the testaments of other witnesses.

The case has been so popular that a poll by BBC indicated that the American public were more interested in this live televised trial than the crisis in Ukraine.
