Here Are 5 Makeup Tips Every Woman Should Know

Makeup Hacks 2019!

Being a woman is not easy and doing your makeup is another story. To get a flawless coverage and ensure your makeup is on point, there are some tips that you need to incorporate into your everyday makeup routine. Being obsessed with makeup and doing it almost every single day, I have picked up quite a few tips and tricks from practice and even from other influencers, beauty gurus and celebs.

Here are my 5 makeup tips I would recommend everyone to follow:

Moisturize and Prep

I don’t care if you have oily skin, moisturizing your face before applying makeup and using a good primer is an essential part of a beauty routine. There are plenty of moisturizers out there specially made for oily skin so you can find one that fits you. Moreover, using a primer not only makes your skin smooth for foundation but only ensures its longevity.

Use a Makeup Sponge

I know this is more about personal preference but from my experience a beauty blender or a makeup sponge gives the most flawless finish. I use the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge and they are super amazing. You want to use them damp and in a tapping motion so that the foundation sinks into your skin. NEVER rub the foundation against the sponge, that’s a total NO NO.

Don’t Skip Powder

I know a lot of people who apply a liquid foundation but don’t set it with a powder. Your foundation is obviously going to melt away if you don’t set it with a powder (that’s basic logic, right?) so keep that in mind. You can use a powder brush or if you really want to lock in things, go ahead and use a powder sponge and press it against the skin to set everything in place.

Use a Setting Spray

I would 100% recommend you guys to buy the ELF setting mist as it does wonders! Not only does it lock your makeup in place but really makes your face shine and has a dewy finish. I prefer drugstore makeup (cause it’s cheaper and I’m all about saving money) so when I find something that’s amazing, I stick to it. Your makeup look completely changes once you use a setting spray, trust me.

Highlighter Makes Everything Better

If you’re skipping highlighter then you’re basically skipping the most important step in your makeup routine. Highlighter makes you glow, so why would you want to skip that? Pop some on the cheekbones, bridge of the nose, your cupid’s bow and the inner corner of your eyes.

How many of these makeup tips/steps have you been skipping?
