Mahira Khan Makes a Comeback with Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay
Mahira Khan makes a comeback with a spectacular performance in the newly aired drama 'Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay' on Hum Tv.
When was the last time we saw Mahira Khan on our TV screens? I believe we all, including me, missed her incredible acting a bit too much. I just cannot forget the dramas Humsafar and Shehr-e-Zaat due to the impeccable story and stellar cast. Mahira Khan just made a comeback with Hum TV’s ‘Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay’ after a long break of six years.
Produced by Nina Kashif and Momina Duraid, Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay is a drama based on the novel by the one and only, Umera Ahmed. The drama features Mahira Khan, Kubra Khan and Usman Mukhtar as the lead cast. Mahira plays the role of Mehreen, Kubra plays the role of Mashal and Usman plays the role of Aswad in the drama serial.
The first episode was aired on Sunday and it started off by showing their childhood. These three cousins had an unbreakable bond which made everyone feel as if no one could ever dare to separate them. However, as time goes on and they grow old, relationships evolve and nothing remains the same. From being best friends to nemesis, who cannot stand each other, they all grew up and started leading their lives.
You can watch Episode one of Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay here:
Although only one episode has been aired to date, the story was enriching and seemed complex. Not a lot of dramas talk about the struggles of not having a great relationship with their cousins despite living together in a joint family system. I mean, yes, it’s quite common and everyone knows it but do we really ever show how demanding such scenarios can be?
I’ll give a round of applause for Kubra Khan for playing such a strenuous role because it’s not really like her real personality. She has to keep that poker face on for many scenes and I can only imagine how difficult it must be to do so during the shoot.
Here’s What Twitter Had to Say
Mahira’s acting was also unmatched. Even though she didn’t take up many gigs in the last few years, her expressions were flawless and she made sure to wow us all in her long-awaited comeback with Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay. The netizens were very surprised and expressed their happiness on social media.
Extremely talented actors, Umera Ahmed's script and an insightful director, such a powerful and impacting combo! So far the first episode was pretty interesting and intense. Eagerly waiting for the next Sunday! #HumKahanKeSachayThay pic.twitter.com/2vIKKiVIaN
