Pakistan Wins T20I Against Zimbabwe by 3-0

After what was finalized to be three ODI matches in the Twenty20 International Series at the Pindi Stadium in Rawalpindi, Pakistan wins the T20I against Zimbabwe by sweeping the pitch clean with a shining score of 3-0!

As the T20 International Series comes to an end, Pakistan wins against Zimbabwe and proves to maintain its unbeaten T20 runs over Zimbabwe. Newcomers, Abdullah Shafiq, and Khushdil Shah completed the match by bringing Pakistan to victory while 28 deliveries remained, Pakistan won by 130-2.

Abdullah scores 41 runs off 33 balls, and Khushdil blew us all away by scoring three sixes and three fours, all in a 15-ball cameo! Khushdil brought Pakistan to win the T20I against Zimbabwe by scoring a six on their debutant baller, Faraz Akram.

Son of the legend leg-spinner, Abdul Qadir, Usman Qadir was announced as the star player of the match. The 27-year old star managed to score a 4-13 and it’s his third international only! Not only was he announced man of the match, but he was also declared the man of the series as Pakistan wins T20I against Zimbabwe; Usman claimed eight wickets and managed to maintain an average of 7.50 which troubled the Zimbabwe batsmen.

Later, Usman stated, “I missed my father because he would have been very, very happy with my efforts. Overall, I enjoyed my bowling in this series because the pitch here offered support. I was particularly happy with the way googlies pitched target. I’ll be working on improving my skills to become a better bowler.” Moreover, Usman also received praise for the T20 team captain, Babar Azam:

“We gave chances to several players in both the series [against Zimbabwe],” Babar remarked. “As captain, you can’t ask for more if the newcomers get a chance and perform. I’m very happy to see Usman taking wickets. I’m sure he will continue in the same vein in the future. And Abdullah [Shafiq] and Khushdil showed their talent with the bat. As a team, there is nothing better than winning every game since each win gives confidence for the coming matches.”

As Pakistan wins the T20I against Zimbabwe with a striking score of 3-0, it was rather embarrassing for Zimbabwe. However, Chamu Chibhabha has said, “It’s not ideal to lose 3-0 and we are disappointed,” said Chibhabha at the post-match interview. “Still, there are a few positives with some young players coming to the fore, and with more exposure, our team will get better.”
