PTV has fired two officials over the mishap where a false and "incorrect map of Pakistan" was aired on June 6, not showing Kashmir as part of the country. 

Pakistan Television (PTV) has fired two officials over the mishap where a false and “incorrect map of Pakistan” was aired on June 6, not showing Kashmir as part of the country.

On June 7, the Managing Director of PTV had said that there was “zero tolerance” for such negligence and assured that “strict actions will be taken against the responsible”.

The issue was brought up in the Senate on June 8 after Chairperson Sajid Sanjrani mentioned it to the Standing Committee on Information and Broadcasting. And it was not only Chairperson Sanjrani who mentioned it; Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhary and Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari took note of the situation and urged the Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shibli Faraz to take action.
