Taika Waititi Trolled Everyone With Thor Script
During a live session on Instagram, director Taika Waititi revealed pages from a script of Thor: Love and Thunder which showed a conversation between Thor & Tony.
Ever since the release of Thor: Ragnarok, Taika Waititi has been introduced to the Marvel fanbase. He has also won an Academy Award for his work on Jojo Rabbit. However, he has been working on another project from the Marvel universe. It’s another Thor movie titled Love and Thunder. Hence, everyone is really eager to see what’s going on and following him.
Taking advantage of the opportunity, he played a little harmless prank on his fans by presenting a made-up script that portrays Tony Stark, Iron Man, is alive. Now, if you’re a diehard fan of the Marvel Universe or even the Avengers, you know what happened. In the last part of the Avengers, Tony Stark dies and to see a script with Thor where Tony is alive was quite a shocker for many, including myself.
During one of his Instagram live, he flipped through the pages of the script. The one part on which everyone was fixated obviously was the conversation between Thor and Tony.
Quoting the script from CinemaBlend:
Thor: Tony?!
Tony: Wazzuuuuurrp!
Thor: You’re back!
Tony: In the sack, baby!
Thor: But how? I saw you die.
Tony: Science. Also, Thanos is back.
Thor: Mother Frigga, no. So… we’re assembling again?
Tony: Again, again. It’s GO TIME. Everyone who died is coming back. And this tim we’re avenging even more than ever. From now on we’ll be known as… The Avengerers.
It’s obvious by the way the script is written that it was nothing but a joke. Well, many of us who got our hopes high based on what we read. But not everything we see or read on the internet is true, right? It should also be noted that no director would purposely show script of any show or movie online until the production has ended. However, we’ll be waiting for Taika Waititi’s Thor: Love and Thunder to get some more of his sense of humor.
