Taliban – Afghan – US Discuss Ongoing Issues in Afghanistan

For quite a long time now, America has been involved in Afghanistan, along with their troops and armed personnel in the state fighting against Taliban. What now?

Since the invasion of America in Afghanistan, things have not been quite good between America and Talibans. Ongoing war in Afghanistan has killed many and has made many homeless yet this war is still in continuation. The NATO forces have been there killing innocents too.

Now, a meeting was to be held in Doha, where the Talibans would come in peace talks with the United States of America and the Afghan government. According to the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres “peace can only be reached through comprehensive intra-Afghan dialogue”. However, now the Talibans have said they won’t talk about peace until the foreign troops are gone from the country.

Pakistan, however has not involved much of itself in the current meetings between Afghans and Talibans, as they themselves are stuck in a so called ‘war’ with India. For the last 17 years, the insurgency in Afghanistan is on the rise, with much terrorism and violence. Which now they seek to end.
