Who is to be Blamed For The Spreading of COVID-19?
Is it the public or the government? Is it the Doctors or the LEAs? The answer is as important as every life that has been lost due to COVID-19.
Pakistan has been a victim of the ongoing COVID-19, which has highly infected the whole of the country. The cases in Pakistan has exceeded the country zero, China, too. In this time of distress, the people of Pakistan have become even more relentless than before. They are tired of what is going on, and even the lockdowns in the country seem nothing different than any other day in the country. Initially, religion took over literacy, and people were found praying in mosques when it was told not to. Processions were also carried out, and people claimed that COVID-19 doesn’t exist. It is just another ‘Yahoodi Sazish’.
But it was not only the normal citizens of Pakistan who were ambiguous about the COVID-19. Vulnerability from the Government and the Doctors also created confusion amongst people. The Federal and the Provincial Government were stuck in the fight that should there even be a lockdown or not? On the other hand, there were Doctors who initially said it was simple flu, and people are exaggerating it. Moreover, there came a time when Doctors started claiming that people were forcefully being labeled as COVID-19 patients. This was done so that the hospital and the Doctors can earn out of it.
CM Sindh, Murad Ali Shah also had quite the same views. “The entire world and our country are going through a trial at the moment. SOPs are not being followed at a lot of places. I will not blame the public for it. This is because of the mixed signals being sent to people. One person says it [COVID-19] is a dangerous disease while another says it is just flu, you will be fine after suffering a cold,” he said.
