Wonder : Movie Review

When given the choice between being right or being kind, choose kind”

Did you ever feel that you stand out from the rest and could not blend in easily, then you need to watch “Wonder” to find positivity within.

Wonder is a 2017 Family, Drama film based on R.J Palacio’s popular novel “WONDER”, starring Julia Roberts, Owen Wilson and Jacob Tremblay as the main cast. The story revolves around a boy August Pullman with facial differences who is first time attending an elementary school but is skeptical about it due to his indifferent features and nature. The movie portrays the idea that being indifferent and not being ordinary is acceptable too. This movie shows different viewpoints of different characters on life. It also teaches us that life is not a bed of roses, and not everything in life is given sometimes you need to work for it.

This heartwarming and inspiring story of a young boy keeps you hooked throughout, takes you into another world of joy, kindness and love and you will surely find yourself weeping tears of joy. The movie falls under the genre of simple drama and sets you on a roller coaster of uplifting and emotionally rewarding feelings. There were some slight changes from the original book and as well there were few turning points in the film which changed the whole scenario but the storyline did not drift from its main plot.

Definitely, one of the best movies of the year, the whole idea was executed very well. The acting was up to the mark by the whole cast and especially by child actors and the brilliant direction was a cherry on top.  Overall, a must watch for all ages and audience and teaches you valuable lessons about life. The movie was truly a “Wonder” and especially August Pullman’s character who did not give up on anything and struggled to achieve more. Highly recommended for everyone.
