PM Launches ‘Koi Bhooka Na Soye’ Campaign

Prime Minister Imran Khan has launched the “koi bhooka na soye” campaign under which free meal boxes will be provided through mobile food vans.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has launched his Koi Bhooka Na Soye campaign under which free meal boxes will be provided through mobile food vans at different locations of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) has promised to eradicate poverty from the country, and the premier Imran Khan has been actively pushing for this cause. All initiatives under the Ehsaas Program are in line with PM Khan’s vision. While the service is only limited to the two neighbouring cities, assessing the success, it will be expanded to other cities across Pakistan.

“The biggest beneficiaries of the Koi Bhooka Na Soye programme will be the daily wagers, ones who dwell in big cities to earn and send some money back home. They live in cities in deplorable conditions & after Panahgahs, this will be another major step for their wellbeing,” PTI’s tweet read.

At the launch of this campaign, PM Imran Khan regretfully stated: “Most people [in Pakistan] are on daily wages and when they don’t get their wages, they have to sleep empty stomach.”

Imran Khan also directed the officials in charge of managing the meals of the Koi Bhooka Na Soye initiative to set high standards for serving the poor. This will ensure that the quality of food must continually be monitored and remain consistent. He termed the launch of the programme the foundation of a welfare state.
