Stand up for Verna

Mahirah Khan’s much awaited movie ‘Verna’ has been jinxed.

As per CFBC claims, the film has shown raw abuse and is indecent to be shown to the public. The social-drama film tackles with the subject of rape and how the protagonist is downright driven to fight for herself and her rights. It is slated to be released on November 17.

The film ran into trouble on Tuesday when the censor board raised objections pertaining to the film. The ban caused a havoc on social media with fans supporting and standing up for Mahira Khan and Shoaib Mansoor.

Shoaib Mansoor has appealed for the urgent review of his film. The film is expected to be reviewed by a full-board today that will decide the fate of the much-awaited flick. The team of Verna is expecting the settlement to go in their favour.

Mahira was shocked and expressed her disbelief on this situation. She hoped that the censor board would soon clear the film as everything in the movie was executed with precision. “We have failed to understand what the censor board has found objectionable in Verna,” she added.

Even Deepika Padukone stood up for the ban of Mahira Khan’s Verna and she thought people were too quick to judge films. She further added “Yes, It’s sad that a small section of people don’t understand the power of cinema and what it can do to the world. It brings people together, it spreads love, it’s fascinating what cinema can do and it’s sad that a certain group of people choose to not recognize that.”

In the end, it truly is Power Di Game!
